POWER & FLEXIBILITY

Driving modes

With DS 3 E-TENSE three drive modes are available drawing more or less energy from the battery.

Eco mode lets you conserve the range of your electric vehicle. Some functions such as cockpit temperature and recirculating air are slightly altered to reduce energy use.

Sport mode boosts driver enjoyment. When engaged it lets your DS 3  E-TENSE deliver maximum power and torque for a thrilling experience.

Normal mode controls the car’s various parameters to ensure maximum comfort on every journey.

Regenerative breaking

Thanks to our participation in Formula E, we’ve developed several innovations such as regenerative braking. Like an engine brake, you can turn kinetic energy into electricity as you decelerate, thereby charging your electric car’s battery. Through energy recovery during braking you can increase the range of your DS 3 E-TENSE by up to 20% around town. This function can be engaged with a simple push on the gear lever.

THERMAL PRE-CONDITIONING

Pre-warming your DS 3 E-TENSE enables you to maximise the range of its battery. This function can be programmed remotely through your MyDS app. It means you’ll get into an electric car that’s at the perfect temperature with a battery that’s also pre-warmed and therefore operating at its most efficient.

MYDS Application

RANGE INFORMATION

With the MyDS app, discover in real time the status of the charge and the estimated remaining range. When your vehicle is plugged in, the speed and expected charging time are also visible.

REMOTE CHARGING

With remote charging you can use the MyDS app to start charging or set-up a charging schedule. By scheduling a charge, you can take advantage of cheaper off-peak electricity tariffs available with some energy providers.

THERMAL PRE-CONDITIONING

Using the thermal pre-conditioning function allows you to schedule the heating or cooling of your car. As well as ensuring your comfort, it also conserves battery power thereby increasing your range.
